Two important Westminster City Council initiatives are the North Paddington Programme and the canalside improvement programme.
The North Paddington programme (which covers Maida Hill, Westbourne Park and Queens Park areas) aims to deliver a healthier, safer and more financially secure North Paddington area. Its activities include a Creative Enterprise Zone, a High Streets programme (including improvements to Harrow Road shopfronts), and improvements to Maida Hill Market. For more details, see editions of North Paddington News, or email northpaddingtonprogramme@westminster.gov.uk
In terms of the North Paddington Programme, Westminster City council has worked with stakeholders to develop a vision for improving the route along the Grand Union Canal from Ladbroke Grove to Little Venice. The council has published a Concept Design Report and Engagement Report outlining design ambitions and feedback on them. Westminster Council is taking steps to develop technical site investigations and surveys, followed by more detailed designs.
